    I normally weld the outer sleeve to the inner section on the locks, then weld a nut to the top of the sleeve then use a wrench to remove I have also driven in a few screws and used a vice grip

    if painting isnt your thing, suggest contacting someone who does paint and have them do it. i would use Axalta coatings and have custom matched to the powder coated parts
