with constant power to the coil + take a jumper wire from the coil - and rapidly touch ground. your coil should fire every time you remove the wire from ground. if you have spark there and none with the coil connected to the pertronix, then the pertronix isnt switching to ground

the best route and often the shortest route is the one that seams the most daunting. wood is structural, epoxy wood filler is just filler
think of removing a bone from your body and replacing it with a chunk of styrofoam.
Something not adding up
If its the cam snout seal or the head gasket, it wont hold 20 psi
If the water jacket is empty and you tested pressure to 20 psi and it held, you dont have a leak
measure it
if the dizzy bushings are bad, go to NAPA and buy new ones (under $5 each) and re-bush it
however seriously doubt the button and rotor are not making contact. the bushings could be completely gone and the button would make contact. then again, the rotor would contact the cap and...
first welcome aboard
by the limited information you posted, you should be good
however for water sports, I normally like a lower pitch and control the revs with my right arm. There is no such thing as one prop does all.
DUI is iffy. have never found where they actually tested to SAE J1171
I would go voyager over DUI. I myself am running a Mallory YLM 624 as I needed/wanted the ability to adjust my timing curve.
that is a GM casting number. the serial number is on a mercruiser tag riveted just above the starter. it should also be on top of your vanity cover covering the spark arrestor
time to drain the coolant and pressure test.
should hold 15psi forever.
however since we know its not, pressureize it and listen for where its leaking.
problem is your plastic is toast. even not subjected to UV degradation, it had at best a 15 year life expectancy.
one way or another you will need to make something new. no way to fix degraded plastic
First, welcome aboard
second get the factory mercruiser manual.
it will help us help you if you post a bit more about your engine. TBI or MPI? best if you post the serial numbers
until then you are getting generic answers
you are running lean. so start with the basics
what is your fuel...
