    My guess is you have a fuel leak (welsh plug is one possible location). Or your float is off. If the engine doesnt kill turning in the idle screws, its getting fuel somewhere else from with the carb

    what you have circled is something that looks like thick cardboard or plastic taped to the oil pan. you can see the tape in the second pic. reach under there and pull it off

    first, welcome aboard second, I would send the stainless prop in to get repaired. you may be loosing RPM's because the ends are folded over, and repairing a prop is much much much cheaper than buying a prop.
