Wellcraft 210 Elite Restoration NEED HELP!!

There's no one correct way to do it. Some people use byply for everything, some use epoxy instead of polyester, there are different ways of thickening the resin, ply vs dimensional lumber for stuff... I can only give advice with the materials I've used before. If you decide to go with something...

No idea what mdo is. Honestly, even construction plywood would work, just not treated. Marine grade just uses different glue and chemicals and doesn't have so many air voids.

Yes. Bed them in putty and glass over. That's the finer cloth. This is the roving. https://www.fiberglasswarehouse.com/collections/roving/products/woven-roving-24-oz-x-50-wide I'm not sure, maybe 1/8 inch. Marine grade would be best, but you could get the construction ply as long as you don't...

The chopped strand mat (csm) is bonded together with an adheaive that the epoxy doesn't break down. Since I've never used epixy, I don't know if this results in some chemical issues (like the resin not curing properly) or just the csm staying very stiff. So you really want the polyester, because...

@redneck joe I vaguely remember you posting something about a grandkid going to be a knight or princess at something. Just thought they should have another option. Hopefully I haven't already posted this, hard to keep track with 2138 of these saved just in the funnies folder.

Here is the Allison, all shiny now. I actually finished it Thursday morning, and I got the rest of the week off.

The owner of this, if I heard the boss correctly, is going to be scattering his mother's ashes in a lake from this. I like it.

You don't have a good picture of the starboard side. Anything can be fixed, you just have to determine if it's worth it to you. Just know that you'll never get that money back out of it.

Are you talking about this area? It's definitely fixable, just a lot of messy labor. Probably grinding and glassing on the inside and lots of bodywork outside.

Oh god, that cleat screwed to a board on the OUTSIDE oh the hull! 🤣 So, with boat restoration you can pretty much count on sinking way more money into it than it will ever be worth. It's labor intensive, incredibly messy, deals with some somewhat hazardous materials, and ppe is a must. If cost...

    Non-skid for aluminum floors

Maybe do some rhino liner or truck bed coating over the whole floor. Basically painting and adding traction all at once.

Do the whole transom. You'll probably end up doing motor mounts and stringers too, at least a section of them. Get the polyester resin, you'll need the chopped strand mat as well, and it doesn't work with epoxy.

Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been busy. I've been working on an Allison bass boat. Nothing major, just clean up type stuff. I buffed the bottom and sanded out a lot of scratches, now it's on a dolly to get some minor gouges on the cap fixed and fill the hole from where the pole anchors...
