    Question on cap removal

That would be much easier. I've also used a sawzall. Tape a stir stick to a long blade, and put some adhesive backed dand paper on the stick. It was a bit slow, but it worked.

    Question on cap removal

Remove the rub rail, make sure nothing inside is an attachment point between cap and floor, get three or four beam frames above to lift from (like these https://www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-capacity-telescoping-gantry-crane-62510.html ) or some equivalent. You'll need 2 chain hoists for each...

    Boats from work.

The stingray is done, and I even remembered to get some pictures before it's gone. Next up is a truck again. Busted the corner of the fender, seperated from the inner support, broke to thread inserts out of the back of the headlight, and bent the passenger step bracket. We're just...

    Boats from work.

The Cobalt and Stingray with locker damage are gone. I didn't take finished pics of the Cobalt, it's just white gel, but here is the pad we put in the anchor locker on the Stingray. It looks better in person. Also some more of the Stingray with bimini mount cracks. There were some more...

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

I drive a 1999 S10 ZR2. Extended cab with 3rd door, 6ft bed (I think it is), slight lift from the base model, and nice and rusty.

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

What are you planting anyway? Vegetable garden, or something more for pollinators or hummingbirds?

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

Have you checked that the surfaces are flat? Maybe there was some warping or pitting or something.

I'm pretty behind on updates, amd pictures. I thought the Stingray was finished, so next is a Cobalt. The tower was damaged, and in the process of the marina (I'm guessing marina) taking it off, they took some gel off with the bases. Boss said just fill and spray, since it's not really...

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

If you use any gasket maker, I would suggest one rated for high heat. I don't do engine work though, so can't suggest any more than that.

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

Because it keeps the mycellium network intact, and makes for better moisture retention.

    Ideas for planters/raised beds?

I've read that it needs very precise control of the nutrients in the water.

Stuck floor board over gas tank on Alumacraft

Any chance you have access to a chain hoist? You could try putting a bar or something in the vent hole and pulling with the hoist.

Stuck floor board over gas tank on Alumacraft

Self tappers in the floor and vice grips. Not for the center section over the gas tank. Those are always wrapped in vinyl first, then screwed down. Usually with the large head stainless screws. It's probably a combination of tight fit and some glue on the supports when it was set in place.

Stuck floor board over gas tank on Alumacraft

Can you router out some recesses for D rings that will fold flat?

I finished the cobalt yesterday and brought in a Stingray with some minor damage in an anchor locker and at a latch point in the front.

    1983 Blue Fin 16’ Resto

From your description of the floor, I would guess it rotted out and that was his "fix". I would first plan on a total floor and transom replacement. Lucky for you it's an aluminum hull, so no wood stringers.

    Boat Cover Repair?

Just take it to an upholstery shop. It'll probably only cost about $50 to have it sewn up, and it'll be a much better repair than an iron on patch or glue.

Yes, but I sanded through it. I was using my palm sander in places where I should have been hand sanding.

Well this week has been fun. I sprayed the cobalt Tuesday morning, went home at about 9:30, and have been sick all week. Came back to work today and already have 2 burn throughs.

Corrosion - degradation on shiny surfaces

The coating is physically chipping away. The only potential fix I can think of is sand it off and paint it.
