    Change the female end on your gas line. Try your motor in a garbage pail and make sure it's well submerged. Lots of times the motor isn't far enough in the water and it won't pump.

    I need to order a water pump for a 2000 25hp 3cylinder Johnson J25TEL3SSB. What is the piece above the impeller cup on the Sierra pump kit. Some kits show them and some don't. I don't think I remember anything like that when I put the impeller in last year.

    I'd say about 9/half Oz maybe 10oz with the leftover drips in the dish and motor. It's a plastic measure cup but it's see thru. The wife will be pissed enough about me using this.

    When I changed the impeller last yr the rubber housing for the water pump looked a bit chewed. Could that cause water in the lower unit?
