    You probably had a hose clamp fail and water from that hose filled the bilge while at the same time was not supplying water to the engine.Check every hose starting with the hose from the transom to the power steering cooler and go one by one from there.Post back results.Charlie

    A 13 footer does not weigh a heck of a lot.If you have a battery ,put that and the portable gas tank on the opposite side.You gotta shoot for some balance to help you cause.Charlie

    Simplest 2 Battery Setup?

    You got a few great ideas HOWEVER you asked for the simplest approach and that would be to parallel the batteries and add quick disconnect battery terminal to one of the batteries.Simple,cheap ,safe and will only take a few minutes to do.Charlie

    Trim tab feedback

    I would start at the prop.The prop you have is prob the correct prop if you didnt have all the extra weight in the stern.You need to try a larger prop to get more "dig" into the water.Also a doel fin will get the stern up as well.Personally I would try this before getting involved in trim tabs...

    Great idea however a blue poly tarp is a better idea.thats what I do.A cover on a cover will not air out and dry properly.A tarp is easier,cheaper and will give you all the airflow needed.Also in winter ,snow will slide off of the tarp much easier than any cover especially if pitched...

    2 things.First visit the sunbrella website and follow the instructions on cleaning fabric.I recommend a large storage bin or bathtub depending how how large the canvas is.I also recommend a hand washing gently.You may be shocked at how dirty the water becomes so you may want to wash twice and...

    Shift cable bellows........zip tie ???

    gonna go with small black fuel line zip tie that i bought when replacing my Yamaha fuel pumps.Anyone know if it makes a difference if the drive is in raise position when doing this? Charlie

    Been using it for years,it is so reasonably priced that I do the outside of my canvas and after it dries I do the inside and get multi-season protection.Highly recommend!! Charlie
