    Change cables and two starters doing the same thing would tell me it's not an electrical problem. Have you checked the level of your oil, is it correct? Remove the plugs and see if it cranks the same

    I took a set off my motor during repower and put them on the shelf. Did replace the 3 to 4 wire some years back. I'll go check later and see if mine are different

    Welcome Running motor at idle doesn't fill the exhaust manifolds completely. This means one side will always be hotter than the other because water flows easier in one direction than the other. As I read your comment I don't see a concern with temps

    If it's in series it means there is 24V potential. The motor and gauges should only have 12V not 24V. Do you have a trolling motor? Post a pic

    Things don't add up Your using the prop but getting less MPH at same RPM, maybe your not remembering correctly?

    No this isn't normal, Bat ground should go to one of the bolts on the flywheel housing.

    Welcome You in salt or fresh water? With water in the bilge it may have shorted out the Alt or starter
