I put that galvy shackle on this summer because I couldn't find my stainless one. Stainless is on there now!

    Must be cold...

Hello all, First off I'd like to thank all the moderators for allowing this to happen in the slownesd of winter. That being said, I'd like to send some New Year's cheer. This is my 63 ft flag pole but typically in the summer, it has my flag... my country's flag. But often times I like to have...

Hopefully when you originally ran it you didn't run it for very long. Have any pictures of this beauty?

    Restoring my Johnson 6r72d

Depending where you live many gearcase's can be found. Modern day economics means that if a powerhead is shot it becomes a parts motor if somebody doesn't rebuild it which is rare in my area. If you have fun playing around with it, then I say go for it!

What kind of oil should I use

So, that being said...when you used it in that 4 stroke, did you use it mixed in the gas or did you put it in the crankcase?

Tilt Pin Replacement for 1987 Johnson 15 HP

Yes, I'll take the grease over the Amazon pin any day of the week and twice on Sunday, but I also have about about 7 of those pins you seek (oem stainless) Both, non stainless and OEM stainless work great, one just requires a little massaging. I'm sure your pin will be fine, it's just a pin.

Yes, I knew you would appreciate that...fun stuff. And yes again, didn't work out so good from the neighbor as they no longer have a place here, but on "the good" side I recently just hooked up with one of the kids that I grew up and they always had lots of JohnnyRude's and apparently they...

    Must be cold...

Funny you mentioned this, back in the '70s my neighbor up here at my cabin was a logbroker. Back then the Japanese people would buy ship loads of logs. They would bury him back in Japan in the bogs and preserve them. It was quite an entire industry and then I believe, at least the Americans...

    Must be cold...

Yes, temps are dropping like a toilet drain. Wide spread flooding is still around so I can't even imagine what might happen if it continues. Popcorn clouds have moved in...the passes are blizzards now. Low land snow is predicted next week. The saga continues. Great work BTW, what area are you...

Yeah, lopez and all the island people are used to this. Most of the San Jaun islands have 0 cover. Definitely some of the coolest islands in the world.

    Must be cold...

Wind gusts were over 100 which I found out later...but remember we were flooded by record floods for like 3 days. Broke all the records around here. Some of it is normal and I have pictures in years past (log wise) that are much worse. The rivers were raging and destroyed highways that are...

    Must be cold...

A little follow-up, tried to make it to help all my fellow Americans or washingtonians as they say, but they wouldn't allow me to get there. Now I agree with this because a lot of the people were trying to help but ended up needing help. Sometimes the human spirit kind of gets in the way. I...

No, I've never heard of his name or that speech. I also didn't know that JFK borrowed those lines. Either way, those words have lots of meaning with whomever speaks it. Words and meanings to live by. Heading north from the big city (Seattle) in about 2 hours or so...I may post a video or two...
