Is it Safe to boat, knowing you have partial rotten stringer?

They're all stringers. Stringers are the boards that run the length of the boat, bulkheads run sideways between stringers. That storage area is called a ski locker.

Some jobs are just like that. The ones before and after will go fine, but this one just seems to hate you for some reason. Anyway, we got the wrong flake again.

    Sunseeker 21’ Rebuild

I've worked on both dimensional and oly structure boats. They both end up rotting, but both last a long time. Good ply can be stronger than dimensional because the grain goes both ways, and can handle stress in multiple directions better. I didn't convert mm into freedom inches, so I didn't...

The curse has been lifted! Finished the Tige yesterday, boss took it this morning. Next is a Basscat with some minor stuff.

    Sunseeker 21’ Rebuild

I misspoke on that. It will bend, but it will cause air pockets at the That's what the boat was made with. Also, csm is bonded together with an adhesive that is broken down by the poly resin, but not by epoxy. So epoxy shouldn't be used with csm. I'm not really knowledgeable on the chemestry...

    Sunseeker 21’ Rebuild

I prefer you marine ply plan. Polyester resin, 1.5oz chopped strand mat, woven roving (I don't remember the weight), and a thickener for the resin. Bed the stringers in the thickened resin, 2 mat and 1 roving on each side with 6 to 8 inch out on the hull. If you want to cap the stringers with...

    What would you do ?

Well, you could always try to get a little creative. Put some table space in it and make it for outdoor eating, put a mast in the middle and have tiny a land pirate ship, or go the (possibly fantasy) viking route and flip it upside down for a little house.

I wish, it's not our boat though. That's gonna take a loooot of bondo.

    What would you do ?

Either sell super cheap just to get rid of it, or disassemble to scrap all the metal and take the boat to the dump, then sell trailer. I would bet that not only is the interior toast, but also all of the structural wood. That's a complete tear down and lots of time and money to fix stringers and...

This Tige is cursed. There is a line where I sanded the edge of that first batch of flake that somehow didn't get filled in after flake, 3 coats of gel clear, and 4 coats of automotive clear. So now I get to spray it a fourth time. I want to punch something.

Yes, the box is checked, duckduckgo browser, android os. That is what it says in the address bar. It's no big deal if it's just an issue for me. Just a tad inconvenient.

Iboats isn't keeping me logged in.

This started maybe a few days ago. The site keeps logging me out. Sometimes I can close my browser a few times before it happens, sometimes just once. I don't know if it's because of a site update or a browser update, but the other two forums I'm on aren't doing it. It's just a bit annoying to...

So, how much stuff can you not find, and how much have you found that you forgot you had?

I could very well be wrong. I only work in a small shop, don't really know anything about the market in general. I think I'm fine saying that we're in Indiana, but I can't share anymore in the public forum. Part of this thread was agreeing that I wouldn't try to use this as advertising.
