    They can be tight, especially when dry. Try lubricating the sidewalls with a rubber tolerant lubricant such as silicone spray, or even water and pull it out with needle nose plyers in a rotational movement based on the direction of the vanes.

    It probably would result in a richer than 50:1 mix, but I`ve done it this way for years and it seems to achieve the same results with a lot less hassle. I always change my filter each year, it`s just an easy way to achieve the same result.

    I`m confused. Have you tried the blue flush port on the starboard side of the engine, behind the fuel cell. That is what you should run your engines on. Are you doing that and not seeing the water exit?

    I think I`d pull the drive and pressure/vacuum test it just to be safe. It will also give you a look at the U joints and gimbal and check the alignment. I`ve experienced water and it was more of a milky cappuchino color when drained.

    Engine oil and drive oil are separate and cannot be mixed. I would pull the drive and check the bellows to make sure that you do not have any drive oil leaking into there. if none there, then you probably leaked it out into the water during use and will need to replace some seals.

    I use Amsoil marine drive oil. I have spoke with them and their tech indicated that it is safe for cone clutch drives.
