    Excellent point thank you. 2010 9.9 fourstroke model 1F10201FK The answer my friends is that the float bowl/carb drain screw is the BRASS 8mm screw to the upper left of the hose that goes down out of the carb.

    Trim system is outside the transom under the outdrive. Has anyone ever repaired or replaced just the trim motor or do I absolutely have to buy the whole assembly? Mine is reading open circut, a spark when first jumped but now nothing.

    Did I fry the trim motor by jumping it wrong on Sx-A?? 2 wire motor What I did: from battery: - to green + to blue on connector going to trim motor on transom. Is this the correct procedure or did I just cost myself a lot of money as it shows "open circuit" Please help!

    added oil to dipstick hole SX-A = damage??!

    Feeling stupid with this one. Filled oil in SX_A drive normally,closed it up, then added small 2 shots of gerar oil in dipstick hole - just to raise level a touch. Was this a bad move?? What did I "lubricate?" Did I do damage? Do I have to open up the top and clean it up asap? Thanks so much!

    Problem solved: Brought to dealer- they adjusted linkage and lowered idle, now it shifts easily. This fixed the problem. now it all makes sense
