    No grey fuel line. This setup doesnt have the sensor for water in fuel. The motor ran fine after I had changed the water separator.     What I meant by didnt look terrible is I dumped the contents of the fuel separator into a container. It looked clean with no particles in it.     Housing is exactly the same size on both. Every part is identical except fuel out. Had a small air leak in my original so I took the fuel out fitting and put it on the 50hp one. Going to fire it up tomorrow

    I have a VRO pump off a 2002 Johnson 90hp and one from a 2001 50hp. Is the only difference, is that the fuel/oil mix outlet is smaller on the VRO from the 50hp? Thanks

    I found this on another forum. I found this on another forum(above) Lower left i connected back and according to this reply the upper right Tee is venting into air silencer. Makes sense because i was careful when i removed. Thanks for the help i will update if i find anything else.

    Just to update. Replaced drive shaft seals and good to go. Pressure tested and no leaks. Put LU back on and what a pain to get the shift rod back on the lever. I dropped the side pans and removed the air silencer. When reinstalling the air silencer there is T with small tubes i think for a vent...

    Yes bud ..😃 The reason for this thread was trying to identify what LU is on my engine.. Original LU for my J2000 has internal water screens.

    I'm thinking this is an original gear case. UP is stamped on top. (Just like this OEM) attahed pic.... Obviously all this will be confirmed once I pull the lower unit. I'm just waiting for my son to visit so we can get it off.

    Prop off unfortunately even with light I cannot see inside but there looks like there are two bolts visible on the top and then I guess the anode on the bottom of the bearing carrier is in the way and all greased up
