What kind of boat is this?

Yeah, I've been reading they are stable on stable water. 😊 The lady just wants it hauled off. Portland Oregon area.

What kind of boat is this?

Nevermind, I think it's called a tri-hull. I'm reading they are unwanted boats.

Successful Deletion of VST, Primer, & Fuel Pump

I think I posted in your dupe thread. Does the electric fuel pump shut off when the engine dies?

Any clue what this gunk is?

I think I've gotten that gunk when I idled in a barrel too long. Is that what that motor calls for? Unless you have a vintage Johnson, I would think you should be closer to 50:1 - That would be less ounces of oil per gallon than what you are mixing at 24:1. 24:1 seems like way too much oil per...

1994 140hp v4. Hard starting and intermittent rough idling and dying.

Every motor seems to be slightly different, but for mine I have to raise the throttle handle up about an inch and a half, and then just do a squirt when cranking. I don't hold or keep the key pushed in while cranking. But that's just mine. Once the motor is warm, I don't have to push the key in...

    Sputtering Johnson V4 90hp - 1994

XD100 Full Synthetic Light Amber Color

Everything and every search I've done says it's fine using as premix. . "Evinrude XD100 is a premium synthetic 2-stroke oil designed primarily for Evinrude E-TEC and Evinrude Direct Injection (DI) outboard motors. It can also be used in older Evinrude/Johnson FICHT fuel-injection engines...

    Sputtering Johnson V4 90hp - 1994

In another thread I posted that my timing was way too retarded. I used the "Joe Reeves" method and set the timing at 23 degrees BTDC. It was somewhere around 18. . I installed a tach and took it out today. WOT puts me at around 5300 rpm. .

XD100 Full Synthetic Light Amber Color

I was a little worried that I grabbed the wrong can. I've been using Pennzoil mineral 2-stroke oil, but I figured I'd try full synthetic with my new to me 1994 Johnson. It wasn't much different in color when mixed. So I mixed one gallon of Full Synthetic and one gallon of the Pennzoil mineral. ...

    Another "Joe Reeves" method question...

I checked the flywheel to verify it's groove lined up with the key in the shaft. Looks good. . I then re-verified the TDC mark on the flywheel lines up correctly with the pointer when I am at true TDC. . I advanced the throttle linkage as far as it will go. The roller in the slot is tight...

    Flywheel Re-install

I cleaned both the shaft and hole in the flywheel with acetone. Let it dry and then re-installed the flywheel - making sure the key stayed lined up with the groove in the hole in the flywheel. I then used a recommended sealer on the threads for the flywheel nut. Tightened down in stages until I...

    Flywheel Re-install

Thanks It's 105 foot pounds for torque. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything and if the key looks good to others. 1994 Johnson 90hp v4 Crossflow

    Flywheel Re-install

Oh, and yes, I understand the key isn't what keeps the flywheel from spinning on the shaft. It's the binding of the taper of the shaft along the correct torque value. So the reason for making sure no oils, etc, between the mating surfaces.

    Flywheel Re-install

I wanted to make sure I'm going to reinstall the flywheel correctly. . I read some threads about lapping, but I understood that to only be required when trying to pair up a new flywheel to the existing crankshaft. . The OMC Manual just says to clean it with their product. Others suggest acetone...
