    if you have a choice between the drum sander and belt sander from your local rental house......get the belt sander. it is about 40# lighter, however does a better job. the drum sander leaves drum-width divots if you stop moving for a second..... plus its really hard to lift that heavy thing...

    does it instantly drop? or slowly drop? what is it after an hour? are you turning the shafts as you are testing? if it slowly drops to the 11 or 12 overnight, thats fine. if it drops to zero, you sill have a seal leak.
