The base of the round oil pick tube up may have fallen off and laying on the bottom of the oil pan... I recall seeing that issue about 2 times right around 2004/05ish so I wouldn't be surprised if yours is the same.

Unfortunate the very first generation of the Bravo Transom assemblies did not come with or utilize the oil reservoir. I do not believe a hole is drilled for it in the 88 model…89 was when they first started using it..
The Top right sounds more like the area for the speed O hose vs oil hose...

Might want to try using a noid light tester at each of the wires to see if the injector circuit is working properly. I believe some auto parts stores will rent the noid lights at no cost such as Oreilles...
If the engine runs at all no matter how it runs then the fuel injectors are indeed firing and the ECM is controlling the Injector pulse width hopefully at the correct timeframes and with enough proper flow which is most likely going to be okay.
It could either be flooding to much fuel or not...
