    The trim tab anode is used to correct the tendency of the motor to turn left, or right, which can vary as the motor is trimmed upwards or downwards. Motors with conventional gear cases want to turn right when trimmed down and to the left when trimmed up.

    The hose from the tank to the oil pump is self bleeding. Bleeding is to purge air in the hoses from the pump to the carburetors.

    The oil system does not need to be bled if all you did was remove and reinstall the oil tank. There will be oil in the line from the tank to the oil pump. Once you refill the tank any air that is in the oil line will vent itself into the oil tank.

    Why is that? I used a hydrofoil first on my Mercury 175EFI and then on my Yamaha F200. Worked extremely well. Great bang for the buck. I did modify mine so that it was clamped on such that I did not have to drill holes. Did that so that if it did not work I could remove it.
