    F200 Impeller Change

if there are signs of the plastic housing melting, you should replace that. also did you make sure the damper parts in the housing were in good shape and in place. (Where water tube heading up to power head go into)

1988 Yamaha ELG 40 , trying to change water pump/impeller

If a bolt was still holding it ,I do not think the lower unit would move 1 " apart like he mentioned I still think he has to disconnect the shift shaft

1988 Yamaha ELG 40 , trying to change water pump/impeller

I believe that old of a motor would be a push pull shift shaft not a splined shaft that twists. so you would need to loosen a lock nut and unscrew the barrel nut on the shift shaft to separate it

    Yamaha 9.9 wierd choke-ish behavior

I would check to see if you find water in the filter or carb bowls. sometime if a small amount of water gets into a carb jet, pulling the choke may help suck it thru to let gas flow again This is only a thought I had to me I do not see how a motor that was running too rich could be helped by...

Loud warning tone when at idle speed

OK this should be a T60LB if the OP gave the proper info. being a 4 stroke motor it has oil pressure sensors. from what I have read in the past if the oil pressure gets out of the RPM/oil pressure range the ecu is programed to have, either too low or too high it can sound an alarm. some...

F115 IAC not receiving signal from ECU?

I do not think the temp of the valve should be that hot. from what I have read in the past if the valve sticks and the ecu keeps trying to make it move it heats up and eventually over heats the ECU circuit that drives it causing that to fail also. this is a stepper motor so it is not going to...

Loud warning tone when at idle speed

so what does this mean? WOT for 7 miles, (20 minutes) then abrupt slow idle, but alarm doesn't come on. does the motor drop RPM by itself?

Loud warning tone when at idle speed

your title on this thread says you have a loud warning tone at idle. now you say "Pees fine at idle. WOT for 7 miles, (20 minutes) then abrupt slow idle, but alarm doesn't come on," I am confused on what you are saying also. does the alarm sound or not?

2001 Yamaha 50hp tlrz 2 stroke with prime start system starts and dies

changing out the fuel tank and line should have been simple to eliminate those, by just hooking up a known working one without you having to buy new ones . If that did not correct the problem, look at other things. does not sound like they did much testing just replaced a bunch of parts but...
