    Very interesting, brother had a wankel powered snowmobile, everyone liked it ! It would do just a little over 50 mph, whether by yourself or carried a passenger or carried two and pulled a skiboose. Funky sounding but never failed us, just used a lot of fuel and had a lot of grunt !!

    Old fuel looses its power, especially after a year. Fuel lines come apart/ disolve from the inside and contaminate the fuel passing thru it.

    Is the new carb a factory replacement or a chinese copy from Amazon ? Has the carb been setup and adjusted to the engine? Did you clean out the fuel system, replaced all filters, have an inline filter, and using fresh fuel ?? How good is the fuel line from tank, they only last a few years ??

    Yea be xarefull with Acetone, it can melt/ distort any plastic or rubber parts...better to use carb cleaner and compressed air.

    What is wrong with the 140 I /O ?? Loved mine, easy on fuel, repair parts are much cheaper and I could reach 40 plus mph. Outboards are more expensive to buy up front. To answer your question, it is a job !! Doable yes but needs to be done right!!

    Course treads will help, many tire mfgrs make tires for wet surfaces. Carry a bag/ bucket of fine gravel to throw under your tires, make sure it is sharp edge gravel not rounded decorative pebbles.

    More fall is needed, raise the center support higher so water and snow shed off easier. The higher the better, if you can go two ft higher do it !!

    If there is anyway to increase the angle so snow and water can run off easier ?? When I had covers I found the steeper the angle the better they shed and I had far less issues.
