Wellcraft 210 Elite Restoration NEED HELP!!

The offset was done to facilitate the V engine most likely, which is why it ends at the engine bulkhead. I believe friscoboaters searay was done in a similar manner. I would have no issues duplicating that structure and layup schedule.

Ever have a car oil clean for long time?

We measure color in our lab as a purely esthetic property. The GC mass spec and other ancillary equipment is for everything else that actually matters.

    safety chain question

On our f150 the hookup for the chains is way back on the reciever and the the pin is located further out than normal. Ball sticks out further and chains that are normally "proper" length on every other vehicle we own are usually nearing too short on it. More an inconvenience than anything.

Ever have a car oil clean for long time?

Not that it's really a function or indication of how well used the oil is or anything (color). But my 19 running 6.5-7.5k oil change intervals more or less comes out a shade or two darker than it goes in. So from honey to more fresh maple syrup?

    rant

Is it one of the current known failure engines from the OEs or is this a fluke rapid disassembly?

[SPLASHED] I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

The gauges on the 330 are pretty dampened. Only time you see "slosh" on the needle is when theres about 50 gallons or less left. The needle step is about 10 gallons give or take. I treat the gauges the same way I treat my air supply on a call... 1/3 to get down range, 1/3 to f*** around 1/3 to...

[SPLASHED] I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I tell people they're stupid for living on a barrier island that floods at normal high tide. These are the find out calls.

    Thunderbolt V question

I always have a spare set. Coincidentally I've not had an issue with the rotor on this engine.

    Thunderbolt V question

So this stems from a comment @muc Had made in another thread a few days ago. My 4.3 has a thunderbolt V setup on it with the black denso module. System has been more or less fine aside from that one issue I had where I was getting a backfire through the intake, documented here. Haven't had that...

[SPLASHED] I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Everything seems to be 100 hours last I checked. Typically the increased oil capacity is more to help with loading of the oil.... Most modern engines have larger sumps than I'm used to. My truck is 6 quarts. The GM LT V8s take about 9. Diesels are 5 gallons plus typically because of all the...

    K&N air filters......yay or nay ?

They actually replaced mine a few times. Apparently they have a tendency to shrivel up in some applications. Mine shrank to the point that it wouldn't fit in the holder. Kind of annoying. Also kind of bad for filtration.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Old man looks happy. This is a little more flat out. First time I've seen the thing finished running around. Now I understand why everyone says it looks sketchy when I'm running in the chop. Certainly doesn't feel like that much is coming out in it. Glad he's happy and had a great time.

    K&N air filters......yay or nay ?

I have one in the corvette not by choice... no one makes a paper filter for it anymore. For the couple thousand it gets driven a year it's fine. I wouldn't use one on a daily.
