Those ice pad machines were awesome for mom and dad after their surgeries. No messing with an ice pack, just a tank and hose. I used to pop out in the middle of the night, swap the bath and start it back up for mom after her rotator cuff.
I always took that as I needed to start drinking again lol.
I'm pretty lactose intolerant... so even cheese I typically can't trust after... I'm not giving up cheese.
This had a clutch on the rack. No possible way to push the drive unless you turned the wheel. The power assist without that I would assume still moves, just woth the force needed to move the actuator tacked on, like a car.
Oh, so bicycle pump.
I only ask as I tried one of the no feedback Helms on my restoration and hated it for the same reason. Stiff. Stiffer than the 40 year old detmar it replaced. I don't see why they'd use that on a power assist anyway, but just a thought.
A lot of times, GMs WOT calibration on engines is in yhe 12:1 range. It seems merc targeted 14:1 at cruise (below stoich) and then dropped to around 12.8 at peak power. Seems most tuners on marine engines shoot for the same unless it's a hot engine or otherwise odd.
The 1485 "kit" would be about right for a standard non vortec 4.3 for sure just based on the FSM jetting. It is a jet size lean on the primary circuit and the wrong metering rod for a vortec.
Some of the mercs used a dipstick tube that threaded in the cast oil pan drain plug hole instead of the block. Mine is one of those. Depending on the truck pan, it may or may not be the same.
Yeah, our 22 is rated up to 12k or something like that. Realistically it runs out of payload way before you get close to its "max" but it'll comfortably do things in the 7-9k range no issue.
It's not always a 1:1. We lab a litte different because we aren't dealing with oil, and thus are not terribly concerned with color. It takes very little to color oil over an oci and I think most people would be surprised at that. If your gas engine has oil coming out looking like a diesel, there...
