I see the tie bar or part of a tie bar in the picture so with this information I can only assume it's a cable system. Picture from farther away would confirm.

I looked at the model number you gave plus a 1977. I find the same one that I found before. Also, I don't see it in the intake section...I see it in the carb section. Maybe yours is deformed or just not seeing what your seeing.

Not sure what your looking at but I found it in the carburetor section. It goes on the middle carb. I'm sure if you look close enough to the middle carb you will be able to deduce how it goes on. Spring ends will rest on the carb body and shaft area.

Here is two emm's. One is from a 2012 25hp tiller. The other is from a 2012 115. Both have the LEDs but in different areas. When you turn the key or pull start they all light up and go off unless you have a problem then it will stay on. The 115, the first light stayed on and it was an under...

I had to go to control panel, device drivers, click on advanced and I had to enable that com. Can't remember the name but it was the top thing in the advance menu.

There is a learning curve but I don't understand the cord issue. Did you get that resolved? Should only be one, triangle shaped. And yes, on the side of the emm are 4 led which gives you some diagnostics. Are they turning off?

That first plug is the nema 2000 plug. The port for the diagnostic cable is on top slightly to the starboard side. It should be capped. Remove the cap and plug it in. When your wires were loose it could have messed something up. Any led lights lit up on the emm?

Try to find a good used one. Powerheads blow more than gearcases so if you weedle through the mess you might get lucky.

They have pop down trailer holders...only Evinrude that I know of...very robust.

You only need to pull up on the red handle to get it "out" of neutral....not in.
