What does one do after fishing on lake with motor off for about an hr? What’s the procedure for starting up again if it doesn’t start right away?

Oh I see, I was leaving the fuel line hooked up all the time, maybe I should un hook for travel then? What I was saying is after a few squeezes, I would try the engine with the choke but thought I had to keep pushing choke, didn’t know I had to let go and try it.

I will check for leaks but I’m using the quick silver metal tanks( have 4 of them in really good shape), might have to try another bulb. In transport, does the vent have to be closed?

Choke flappers do close all the way. It almost seems like I have no fuel getting to the carbs. Does fuel empty from the line back into portable tanks? And why with a brand new bulb does it not seem to get hard when I squeeze it after travel?

After some research, I figured out this tachometer. It’s quit the formula to figure out PPR but this one works pretty good and has some cool backlight features to it. Thanks anyway!

Not sure if this is the right place but I have a question. After adjusting my engine and getting it working good, why is my white water tank all dirty with oil. Am I leaking oils or something and am I polluting the lake? Thanks in advance

After doing some testing, I noticed that my battery wasn’t getting higher charge then 12.7 volts. Checked the rectifier and it’s bad. Could this be why my tach doesn’t work? Thanks

I do have a brown wire coming off the rectifier that I’m have hooked onto tach signal terminal and, a battery wire and ground on the other two terminals. Nothing happens. Is there any way to test the tach on the bench?

Yeah, I see that but didn't understand it because when I put it in gear it dies. how do I get it to stay running with cables disconnected when it dies?

So I turn the screw on front of carb correct? And when I do the 1-1/2 turns, I close one at a time and back out while running?
