I’m having troubles locating my manual. It’s a 9.8 110 Mercury, model number. 7151133 any help would be appreciated

I’m not sure why they say the reeds are behind the carb on this one, I believe they are under the flywheel. Upon looking they look like not sitting flat but trying to find the manual to look this up.

I was wondering if someone could help me please. I have a 1986, 110, 9.8 mercury outboard. It’s been sitting a very long time but I have spark, carburetor has been soaked in gunk and completely cleaned but I still have no wet spark plugs. Plugs have been replaced as well. Any help here would be...

Also, I have to replace the gear shift lever and need a part number.

After looking, the name plate does say it is made in Canada. I was trying to find out how to service the latches on pull start cause mine don't catch every time, wasn't sure if they need lubrication or have to be dry.

I really don't know. All I have is the serial number

Thanks guys! I do find it comical when people tell me to check the serial number when its right off the little plate below the mount, is there some other place on the motor with another plate that says serial number???

Yes, I believe that it is a 9.9 Hp but says 110 on the side. It's not a very big motor.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could please tell me what adjustments I need for my little kicker motors pull start. It is about a 1985, 110 Hp and My issue is that when I pull the cord, sometimes it catches right away and turns flywheel but then other times, it pulls about 2 feet before...

Yes I have pulled the choke all way out. Put started fluid in and tried 6 drops of gas in spark plugs and nothing happens.

I know i have gas to the carb for sure. Should still pull drain plug hey

Checked the flywheel key and its there. still can't get it started and a shot of fluid didn't do anything as well. Any more Ideas?

I will keep that in mind thanks but, if the key was missing, would I have compression and spark when I pull the rope?

I also wanted to say, I’m asking about starter fluid cause when I put drops of gas in nothing happened. Maybe have a plugged carb? Don’t understand why it didn’t fire with drops of gas and spark.

No I haven’t had time to check flywheel key and assume it’s important because nothing would turn when I pull. I pull the cord and have compression, spark and a sore arm but maybe I’m missing something.

Would starter fluid be ok just to see if it fires?

So the safety switch is working then, now just have to figure out why it won’t start. I put 6 drops of gas in as advised but it doesn’t want to start, not even a fire at all.
