    engine temp?

    Does anyone know what the ideal running temperature is for a 7.4 merc.? Mine warms up fairly fast but it only gets to 130-135. I have 2 temerature guages so I'm pretty sure the reading is accurate.

    After having used our new boat for a few weeks I was wondering about fuel consumption. Our new boat gets a little better economy than we expected.     name removal and sticker install.

    The name on my boat has been painted on. I would like to remove it with a stripper instead of trying to sand it. Anyone know which is the best way to do this is (best product)? I see that the names being put on boats are mainly stickers these days, they look really good, any idea if they hold up...

    Could someone tell me about trolling valves for a BW trans please? How they work, how expensive are they, difficulty of installation, do they cause the trans fluid to get hot? Would a guy be better off just using a kicker for fuel economy? Thanks.

    What engine is a merc. 470? They seem to be quite a torquey little sucker... but do you think (as twins) they're powerful enough to push a 26' Commander around without being overworked? Any guesses as to what cruising speed it might achieve? Merry Christmas folks! :) <br />...
