    $6.20 For Boat Registration

Found out recently that Florida has antique vessel registration. Requirements are for it to be at least 30 years old, have origional power plant, and not to be for commercial use. I wonder how many other states have this option.

"River Monster's" Jeremy Wade Comes to Town

Sharks abound around here. I often see them daily while diving in the marina. Jeremy came to town for some shark fishing with one of our well known, and well liked, shark fisherman. Although I don't advocate shark fishing, Wade truely cares about the enviroment. Here is a link to our local news...

Running Bilge Pump Automatic Off Multiple Batteries

I've been thinking (not always a good thing) the past few weeks about running a float switch off of 2 batteries. My thinking is making a box with diodes so I can run a float switch off of 2 batteries. The battery switch can be turned to the off position, leaving me with 2 batteries to supply...

    Restore Switch Panel?

Re: Retore Switch Panel? Re: Retore Switch Panel? OK....OK......James! :p I always like your thinking, oops! I only have one panel. This Whaler is layed out simply. Lots of complications behind the helm, but the dash is pretty clean. Not so bad after all, Woodonglass. You actually...

    Restore Switch Panel?

I need to restore this panel. Corrosion around the SS screws on the aluminium panel. A few years ago I would have sanded her down, apply alumiprep, 545, and AwlGrip her. All the AwlGrip I have is gloss, I'd prefer something dull. What are your suggestions on this restore.

    Diving in Muddy Waters

I've been doing some diving at a marina lately. The waters are murky and the bottom is soft. I have no problem doing underwater work on boats. My problem is finding things that were lost overboard. Went looking for eyeglasses yesterday. I can't seem to remain in a certain area due to visability...

    Proper Lay-Up Schedule?

I've seen some videos and photos of lay-up schedules on bulkheads, stringers, soles, decks... Many are using way too much resin. Fibers provide the strength, not resin. All resin is brittle, use it spairingly. Less is best. IMHO.....It is rocket science! Enlignten me.
