    Not new to me ,it ran well this summer,the temps here are in the high 50's low 60's ,where is the purge valve located? Never heard of it,just stumped as to why,it ran well earlier this summer and now it's doing this, especially after the repairs I've done

    1958 7.5hp Johnson oil leak

    Some or most of the oil is , leftover two cycle oil that's unburnt,I experienced the same thing in my 55 gallon barrel,at idle they don't burn all the oil ,like they do at high/higher speeds it's expelled thru the exhaust,I'd get a rebuild kit for the carburetor if you haven't done so

    Hey guys,just acquired a 6 gallon Omc metal fuel tank, going to restore it,but uncertain on the color,it's from the late 60's-70's who makes a spray paint that would be the same or close enough color? Know vintage outboard paint has it but it's pricey.

    Ok ,it seems to not spin freely in the bushing, replaced the needle with a brand new one,cuz the old one was loose and vibrated completely out,that's why I considered using epoxy on the bushing

    Broken low speed needle

    Hey guys I got the broken needle out, had to drill a hole in the Welch plug chamber, and use a very small punch and knocked it out reassembled the carb with an oem kit ,runs great now!! Plugged up the hole with JB weld steel stick

    They sound like their pretty good engines,I picked this one up for 40$ resealed the gear case,new impeller, carburetor kit,new OEM needle,and a used hood, because it was missing,got it to run with the new needle,but wouldn't idle down properly
