Sad Day For the SS United States

Stacks won't be there, they will be removed (or at least one will) and be part of the land based museum. Here's a concept from the conservancy's website (the one prop out front is the only one left that is laying on her stern, the rest are distributed throughout the NYC area):

Sad Day For the SS United States

Caught most of her trip down river. Even being towed she just glided through the water. I was heading for the navy yard but they left early. The two right lanes on the I-95 bridge over the Schuykill just kinda stopped. Then I realized why: So when I could I turned around and headed to and...

Probably not as exciting as you'd hope lol. Early 00's at Eglin AFB. That is a USAF security forces car (base police). This actually happened late one night. Dude patrolling on duty......picked up his girl. She proceeded to perform mouth hugs. He lost control of the vehicle on the flight...

    new carb

I know Edelbrock has had marine carbs for years and they have literature claiming USCG approval but USCG approval comes with an approval number and I have not seen that anywhere.

    Turbo tax

Worked very well for me as it was simple, easy to use and free while I was in the service, especially since I only had to do federal returns. I still use it, it just costs me now, though discounted through USAA.

Starting your car in this cold weather.

50's through 80's Chryslers...pump gas 3x, turn key and listen to that unique starter lol. My grandfather's 1948 46' Chris-Craft had twin 413 Chryslers...."I" was the choke. Quickly got past any fear I had as a child of standing literally next and/or overtop an engine starting or running...

Starting your car in this cold weather.

Sh!t, well before that. Pretty much every car by that point either had a divorced or electric choke. I just hit the remote start. The SRT hasn't moved in about 2 weeks so it isn't particularly happy.

    Careful what ya wish for…

If you can do it yourself, the cost will be limited to materials and time. I did this to a 1975 Crestliner Crusader C775 (17.5') about 15 years ago....gutted it, new stringers, deck, carpet, seats, engine box (mine was an outdrive, this won't apply to you), seats, wiring, drive etc. Swore I'd...
