Be sure the magneto is in good working order before finding out later when you TRY to find repair parts for it.....That engine if it runs is worth double...

    question about pee

    What can make the pee stop and start , At idle speed the thing will pee for several seconds and then stop for several seconds then start back etc, The almost new impeller has worked fine for about 5 hours but now I notice this, Any ideas ? It is a 1960 merc 300..thanks

    poppette valve on a 1960 merc 300

    The engine ran fine when parked last fall. Today it cranked but I quickly noticed no water going through the engine, Can anyone tell me if it has a poppet valve and if so how hard is it to replace? thansk
