    In 2010 when Starcraft stopped making the Islander they were asking $54k I saw a marina selling a 2010 they had been renting with very low hours and the were still asking $38k!!!!

    Inboard Merc 140 Transom only has a tiny section of rot along the aluminum channel its bottom edge sits on - 1 in high and 6 in long. So I'm going to ignore that for now. The refit means new floor and seats - both totally rotted I'm thinking laying plastic deck planks longitudinally in place...

    In these parts ( Ontario ) biggest hull you can trailer , without a special trip permit, is 26 ft x 8ft.

    Just for fun here is the ultimate Tinny for outdoor space and stowage capacity - I almost bought it back then The 26ft Starcraft was for sale for $6500CDN after a professional rebuild - the owner wanted the boat to outlast him! Shudda bought it too!

    Solid but aging - easy future fix is alu plates bolted right through - buddy did it and worked great. Yup Butt ugly .
