    Iginition and starter trouble on 59 johnson

    Key switch for starter not working all the time. Works once then I might have to try it four or five times before it works again. Wiring? Changed switch same thing happened. The wiring looks new can it be tested? (the wires themselves) It seems there is too much wire inside the motor?

    My brother unhooked his battery from his motor to charge it up Now can not remember which wire goes where when he took the battery back to hook it up. Just two wires Im guessing? any help for him?

    Motor is running rough will not Idle down will not produce top speed with WOT. Looking for info on how to trouble shoot and repair problem, Motor starts Runs rough Will not Idle down to let you shift and high speed is not even close to what it should be. Any help?     awaking a 1951 johnson seahorse tn27

    Any suggestions on waking this motor up.I am replacing plugs compession seems fine. Has been asleep for 50 years. No fuel in it will carb need cleaned? Lower gear grease? Fuel lines replaced? I have not tried starting it but will soon.
