1967 Starcraft resto, code name "On Holiday"

Between computer crashing and work, it took some time to get motor removed. Knee brace is broken. Right at the top where the top 2 bolts go through the transom. Transom is severely warped. How is everyone reinforcing this?

Thanks Ron, working on it. I built a motor stand. Not pretty, but very strong. Couldn't get plans to print so I just got a couple measurements and built it by best guess. Good news it only cost a few screws. Built from scraps laying around.

Ok, that tank was advertised wrong so he has another that works better. He had it posted as 30-31, but it's really 23. To small. The aluminum one he has is 33 and still fits.

Hmmm, surprise, the PO didn't replace part of the floor. He overlayed it with 3/8's ply of some sort. attached it to the old floor with dry wall screws. Not exactly a good solution. The screws will not screw out, they just spin even drilling them may be a pain. thinking of using a hole saw...

1967 Starcraft resto, code name "On Holiday"

While the ice is melting out of the holiday, I'm window shopping. For a Mercury ob, is this about all the gauges I would need? If not, what else? I'm planning a relatively simple dash in the area already used on this boat. I do however want a nice set of switches for lights, blower, bilge... Oh...

It looks there is a virus that starts a task on pc's and is triggered when you hit the site. There is a procedure to get rid of it. I'll try that in the mean time I'll continue to use the procedure you provided Ron. Thanks.

Ok, I was posting in the add pics thread. It's time to start a resto thread. Still working on my polebarn/workshop so these are early as I have to finish that before winter. Here's the way I brought her home minus 2 large bags of leaves so far and all the large trash that was dumped in it. It...

    Part needed for 67 starcraft

Does anyone know a source for a bow tip like the center of this photo. Mine was missing when i picked up the boat. Thanks, Doug Mod EDIT: Doug, solicitations arent permitted in the open forum. As I think I mentioned in your topic about this boat, you'll likely need to contact a local...

Post a pic of your starcraft!

I just picked this up. I'll be restoring it after the winter is over. Ok, got the pics up. This was a 1 owner boat. It's a 67 that was re-powered with this merc in 79. I don't know the floor or transom condition. I found a spot to tap the floor and it sounds like aluminum. Did they do that...

    New project 1967 starcraft 18'

Ok I just acquired a project boat. The motor is a 79 merchandise 115. I also have a 1977 Johnson 115. Not sure which I'll use. First to get titles done. One owner boat but owner has passed and I was given a bill of sale from before he passed.
