1996 force 120 intermittent idle issue and hard to start

Hello everyone. Thanks in advance. The prior times I’ve posted I’ve had good advice. Boat is 1996 trophy 2002 with force 120. I’ve put 130 hours since i bought it. Since purchase I’ve done plugs, rebuilt the fuel pump since it was original, replaced fuel filter, added fuel water separator...

Is there a way to make throttle more sticky?

I have a bayliner 2002. It’s got a force 120. I would like the throttle to stay put while crossing. If I’m at 4000rpm it will go slower to 3600/3400 etc. i have to keep pushing the throttle up. Is there a way to keep throttle where i put it besides having you hold it?

    hydraulic steering swap

Gang i would like to change the steering over to hydraulic on my trophy 2002wa. I have the force 120. Can those who have done the swap confirm this will work with the force? It seems the 20 foot hose version is on sale so can excess hose simply be spun into a circle to adjust for shorter...

Lower unit seals replacement on 96 force 120

Hi gang, when I changed my lower unit fluid initially, I noticed a very small amount of water in it. The oil in there was a bluish 90w oil. I did something dumb and used yellow 80-90w marine gear oil. So after about 6 hours at the lake on 2 occasions, I drained the oil and found a mixture...

    1996 Force 120 overheat question

Hi gang, I recently bought a 1996 bayliner trophy (20foot walkaround) Boat ran fine but the water coming out of the telltale was sort of intermittent, especially at idle. However I ran it for 2-3 hours at the lake (65 degrees) and no issues, no overheat. My OCD got the best of me, I swapped...
