    OMC exhaust flapper alternative.

What if I stick one of these on the back of the boat where the exhaust bellow goes. Renken you said home made. I've never seen these below the water line. Guess I'd just have to try it out and see how it behaves when I'm stopped.

    1993 omc cobra 4.3L

This is a mechanical fuel pump. It only pumps when the engine is turning. Take the fuel line off the carb and put a little bucket under it. Crank it a bit. If no fuel comes out then take off the pump. These older pumps are easy to rebuild. Take it apart and check the little black diaphragms...

High voltage issue causing alarms and equipment malfuncions

I have a 87 Bayliner with a Chevy 350 with a Alpha 1 Gen 2. Closed cooled for the ocean. The impeller broke out at the middle of nowhere and had to get a 5 hour tow back in from the island. I have worked on some Volvos that have the impeller on the crank. Is it possible I can just remove the...

The problem happens when running on 1 battery but more when I switch the perko to ALL. With the engine running and switch on battery 1...

What to do about this old toilet.

OK on my old 87 Bayliner Cierra I have this exact same toilet. It uses raw water then ejects in to the holding tank. Now it has a few issues, It leaks in a few different places. Is the bowl universal to other systems? Can I just buy an electric upgrade kit and use the old bowl which is of pretty...

Edelbrock electric choke, hook-up power where?

OK I have an 87 Bayliner Cierra with an OMC 5.7. After years of fighting with Quadrajet issues I finally installed an Edelbrock 1409. The manual says not to connect the positive choke wire to a keyed ignition source. I don't know of any other ignition power source. I've heard of others...
