    Fuel filter separator

Well tucked in a place you have to stand on your head to see was a filter/separator a previous owner had installed. So I Uninstalled the one I put in. I could hear air going in the fuel tank when a bulb was squeezed, so I wanted to check the supply from the fuel tank. And when undoing the hose...

    Fuel filter separator

I used the plug supplied to seal off the other inlet opening. And I do have fuel going to the kicker from one of the outlet lines. And it did work before on a different boat. The only thing I changed was using a different outlet port for a directional change of the fuel supply line. But I'm also...

But won't suck fuel with primer ball. Do Yu have to have two supply lines to filter for both out lines...

    1972 Mercruiser 165.

I have to talk to the owner, he wants the boat removed and no trailer under it. I have a roadrunner that had a 19' Sangster on it might be able to limp it to a landfill. I'd rather a remove engines deal with him, but will see. And of course when were they last run and how good are they.

    1972 Mercruiser 165.

I appreciate the advice on here. Have a shot at a boat with two of these that are runners. Look pretty much identical to the 165 Merc?

    1972 Mercruiser 165.

Any other Mercruiser engines that if the 165 was removed would bolt up to the 165’s rigging? Looking at a boat with a failed 165.

    !976 OMC 5.7

Question of my day. I have a 1976 OMC 5.7L in my boat a 22ft Slickcraft. I'd like to changeover to Mercruiser. What outdrives and driveshafts would bolt up to it if any? And I know some transom modification would be required including beefing up transom and filling the OMC hole and cutting a...

    Trim tilt bleeding

Can you bleed a 1994 125hp merc trim tilt pump on the work bench. while on the boat I had the electrical motor working fine, and it was holding a bit once I’d lifted it by hand and locked it, then primed it. Then unlock and would hold for awhile then go down, but couldn’t get it to lift. Even...

    Separate intermediate housing?

Trying to remove the steering cable from the intermediate housing. Have removed the set screw holding the steering shaft in place, and unbolted the piece where the steering cables attach to the intermediate housing. But steering shaft will rotate and slide back and forth a 1/2" but remains stuck...
