    70 hp only runs wth choke on

    I have a 1975 johnson 70 hp. It starts fine and idles well, but in the water it won't run without the choke on. Even at that, it only putts around, try to go full throttle and it dies. I'm hoping its the fuel pump, but would like someone elses input.:confused: Any help would be appreciated...

    1975 johnson 70 hp lower unit removal

    I have questions about removing my lower unit, to replace the intake screen. (1)Is there any type of proceedure to doing this, or is it just pull the bolts and go? (2) Do I have to drain the oil from lower unit before doing this? (3) Any springs, clips etc. going to fly out at me. Any help would...

    '89 evinrude 9.9/15 hp carb bogs at full throttle

    Need help my motor bogs at full throttle, but if I squeeze the prime bulb the motor smooths out and runs fine. Is this a dirty carb,bad fuel pump or what?:confused:
