Best Flushing Ear Muffs? Mine aren't working

Are you sure there isn't some obstruction in the muffs themselves? Do they completely cover the water entry ports?

    Garmin Striker shutting down

My Garmin Striker has started shutting down every time I start my boat. Before this it would warn low voltage momentarily but not shut down. I'm assuming this happens because the voltage goes too low now. The battery starts the motor fine. Does this mean my battery is getting too old? It's about...

    SNOW Common Sense

Everything is solid under the floor. I redid it all a few years ago. Oh well, spring will tell the tale. Kinda wouldn't mind a new boat anyway.......

    SNOW Common Sense

I was looking for an excuse not to have to go up to my waist and try to shovel it off, and you just provided it, thanks!

    SNOW Common Sense

Speaking of snow, I was wondering....can the weight of a LOT of snow on my boat, that is sitting on a roller trailer punch the rollers thru the hull? Its a fiberglass 20ft boat with a 90hp on it as well. Its that white lump next to my garage!

    Arghh! Freakin raccoon.

Is there rabies in the area? You want to be careful with that.

    Do I need a trailer?

Thats likely what I will do.

    Do I need a trailer?

Yeah, I would definitely be taking the motor off when transporting.

    Do I need a trailer?

I'm thinking I'm going to buy a 12ft aluminum boat and small motor this spring, second hand. Most don't come with trailer, and I'm wondering if I need one. Seems I could put a boat that size in the back of my pickup by myself, maybe with the help of a winch attached to the back rack in the truck...

    Turbo tax

I use "wife tax", sometimes I get a good meal out of it too! Seriously, she does the taxes and has used Turbo Tax, but now prefers "Studio Tax". She works for Canadian Revenue Service, so I figure she knows what she's at.

    Nobody fishing?

No matter how thick the ice, I can't see me "comfortably" driving a truck on it!

Baking a 20lb turkey tomorrow, what home made stuffing inside?

My wife always puts the stuffing in the turkey, I don't know anyone around here that cooks a turkey with no stuffing inside! Around here stuffing consists of bread crumbs mixed with onion and savoury, butter and salt and pepper. Delicious!

    Rain needed

I would gladly send some of my rain. It hasn't stopped raining here in NL, Canada for about 2 weeks now!

    Lithium Battery?

What would a safe way to discharge one a little? I also bought one for my trolling motor this spring and after last use I recharged to full, but didn't get to use it. Now its at 100% for the winter. Would a trolling motor overheat if ran any length of time out of water?

    Lithium Battery?

I'm pretty sure a lithium battery charger needs to be over 13volt. Its different from a 12 volt battery charger. I don't think it matters about when you charge them. I also think you might run your fish finder and trolling motor off the same battery just fine if its only pulling just 1.25 amps...

    Gun ownership and permits.

Kind of defeats the purpose if you have a gun for home protection and the gun and ammo are stored in 2 different places and locked? Those rules apply here in Canada too, but my guns are for hunting only so it doesn't bother me. Here in Canada if you used a gun in self defense, you would likely...

    Nobody fishing?

Count yourself lucky, there's no fishing season even open here this time of year!

Don't you find shipping costs on Ebay really high? Maybe its because I'm in Canada, but I have found that most things I look at there have shipping costs higher then the price of what I'm buying! I rarely even bother to look anymore. Amazon with free shipping can't be beat.

    Gun ownership and permits.

Yeah, I agree. Professional career fields are always evolving and the people involved have to stay on top of things. However, if you know how to safely operate a firearm then you know. No need to keep proving the same point.

    Gun ownership and permits.

Joe, I'm just curious and certainly not judging one way or the other, but is a libertarian the belief in no, or very minimal government? I always find it interesting how in general you guys in the states look upon the government in a negative way, sort of like an enemy. Up here in Canada we seem...
