    Remove the outdrive to make sure the engine is the one that is stuck.

    I would probably run a compression check and makes sure the valves are ok after all that hydrolock. Are the valves showing signs of rust?

    I don't really understand why MBS doesn't drill the hole. I have the MBS alignment tool but don't have the tools to drilled the hole. It was cheaper for me to buy a tool that didn't require drilling.

    I asked if you see water exiting the boat to determine if a flapper is blocking the water. A water blockage may back up the water in the exhaust. I would also think the water lessens how much noise the flappers make. Did you replace both flappers? I still wonder if all the pieces were removed.

    Definitely water getting in the bellow. Those need to be replaced. Gimbal bearing as well.

    The seal/bushings can wait if finances get tight. That doesn't seem to be where the water came in from. Clearly the bellows were past due. The gimbal seal only needs to be installed if you are getting a greasable bearing. Perma-lube bearings don't need them.

    Went with OEM. Bought a puller. I assume it has to be clocked to align where the grease hole would be with the hole in the drive. Any one put a little grease on the outside of the bearing or put it in the freezer for easier install?

    I torque slow. I felt it give a bit before I hit the number but it hadn't sheared off so I was able to back it out. I thought the first one had a defect but when the second broke I knew torque was too high. That brass fitting should never be able to damage those threads.

    That pan is likely cast iron and the fitting is brass. Tighten the fitting too much and it will break. I went through 2 fittings because the torque in the manual was wrong. Probably just replace the gasket and tighten hand tight.

    No start

    The 4.3's have a 90 amp fuse on the starter. I once shorted that out and nothing worked. Not sure if your boat has that fuse. But it does sound like a fuse is blown.

    Outdrive will not install into housing.

    I assume you have an Alpha 1 Gen 2? If so, it is hanging up on the o-rings. Give it some persuasion. See the video from Chris.

    Sometimes debris and rust block the drains. Did you prod the opening? That is either a really serious crack or you ran it a while not knowing. Either way, the engine will need to be pulled.

    That looks like water is mixing with the oil and shooting out of the engine. Did you winterize the boat. Something may be cracked (block, manifolds). That is based on description and image. I couldn't open the video.

    Chris has good videos on replacing the impeller: He mentions that the splines are in an oil bath in the upper. When you split the two halves, oil drops. I am sure he either drained his drive for a while or cleaned it up off camera but I can confirm it does happen.

    I initially thought the high rev was on the muffs (big no-no) but I see it was at the lake. 200 seems high for lake water even with hot weather.
