    AGMs are also stronger and can take pounding of waves better than flooded.

    I would get AGMs manufactured by East Penn. NAPA and West Marine may be manufactured by East Penn The plain AGMs will typically work fine as a direct replacement for a flooded battery. It's the spiral wound (Optima) or Odyssey batteries that may need different charging.

    Maybe this Bimini top material is just not as good as Sunbrella and has shrunk. I'd rather just get a new top done in May than screw around with it all summer only to find out I cannot stretch it enough and need a new top anyway.

    To Drain Or Not To Drain

    FWC solves most of the problems. Just pull a few hoses and the blue plastic drain plugs. Ten minutes tops.

    Pull the intake hose to the raw water pump and see if water comes out there, if so you should be OK. Or use the flush connection instead. Its possible there is a one way valve. Not sure. I do know that if the flush connection is not tight you can suck in air.

    I have the Diacom software loaded on a small laptop and the Diacom adapter. It's a great product. If you do your own mechanic work on your marine engine and it's got a port to connect to, then sooner or latter you will need the Diacom.
