A couple of weeks ago I lost a blade on my duo prop due to severe aluminum pitting near the base of the blade. We made it back to the marina at slow speed but when we got back the trim wouldn't work due to a blown 10 amp fuse on the trim motor. I replaced it and it worked for an hour. Now the fuse continues to blow as soon as I insert it in the socket. I jumped the trim motor directly to the battery to see if it would work and it works fine.
I looked at all the wires in the engine compartment and they are fine. I need some help with other possible short locations that would be causing this situation. I was wondering if the actual finger trigger switch on the controls would cause this. The engine is a 5.7l gsi
