Re: 100 to 0ne in OMC
I've been away a week or so and I sure missed a lot. I'm just catching up now. I read this post and was shocked!

I bought a 9.9HP Evinrude new in 1985 and have always run it at 100:1. I run the motor at 2 speeds... Full throttle and idle. Never had a problem. I always did the minor maintenance and winterization myself. Never had it in the shop for any major repairs. I use it about 10 days a year. This is the first time I have heard about this issue.

Should I switch to 50:1 or stick with 100:1?

By the way, back when I bought the motor I got a couple of cases of OMC oil real cheap. That's the only oil I ever used but I just ran out on my last outing.

Thanks
