ok this things driving me nuts i bought it last year still dont have it working right i put in local shop they had it 2 months and didnt fix it so i thought i would take it on my own.the guy i bought from said all it needed was a stator turned out it needed stator triger and switch box,so i replaced them all compresion test was 120 on all cylenders awsome i gues anyways i also replaced the water pump whole thing .. almost new motor now huh....lol so i used the guide to set timing in the forums ..got it to what i think its correct .... got distrubter pully set where i think it correct not positive thats where i need help .... i shot with timing light looks like its running idle at 10 btdcif i rotate distubter back to reduce idle it gets to 2-4 but idel poorly and steam come out peehole afet runing about 5or 6 minuts leading to make me think timingsing off causing it to over heat .... is that possible? i took it to the lake it ran at wot about 6 mph not good but found the number 3 carb had no fuel in it the needle valve asembly was bent so it wouldnt let any fuel in ... fixed that today havent tested it yet but still steam .... any ideas would be greatly aappresated ...........
