Where do you source your parts from then?

Also i was messing with it more. If I press in the key every 4 seconds or so it will idle great. If I stop it will start backfiring and die. So it has to be fuel related then?

How long have you owned this machine?---Tested VRO in service ?------Mixing at 50:1 in the tank?----You need to post exact information.----What are the compression values today ?----Does spark jump a gap of at least 3/8" on all leads ?-----Checked the flywheel key?----Was this machine always winterized correctly?----To me this 30 year old engine sounds like it needs to come apart.
I've only owned it a year. I did compression test a week ago and wrote down values they were. Cyl 1. 120psi Cyl 2. 118psi. Cyl 3. 121psi Cyl 4 115psi
The vro oil side has been unhooked so im mixing 50:1 in the tank, the spark im just using an inline tester but I can pull them out and check how far it jumps. But im leaning fuel related after what I just found last time. With pressing the primer that backfire noise goes away and it will idle all day. Fuel primer bulb is before the pump and it stays hard so im thinking I may have git some bad carb parts from Amazon.

Okay, I'll go ahead and order a head gasket. Where do you like to get your parts from? I don't wanna make the Amazon mistake. I'll take that head off and look at it.

The Chinese make a 5hitload of parts and assemblies that are repacked and sold as oem parts .
I have bought gaskets sets , engine components (pistons , rods , crankshafts ,cylinder blocks ,carb kits bla bla bla ) for 4 different outboards,2 quads and 2 motorbikes and apart from the freighters dropping the crankshaft ( replaced by seller without any issues ) I have not had a problem .
Most of the peeps dissin Chinese or ebay parts are dealers for (what used to be ) US and Japanese made products and they will not ever want you cutting them out of the loop and getting parts direct from country of manufacture , so take their criticism with a grain of salt .
Buying parts cheap from Ebay often makes the difference as to wether something is worth repairing or not .
