Thanks minch...yeah it feels like Tyson did both! Persistent headache, vision in left eye weird a little like I was at Woodstock. Means a lot to get your blessing on the bow lite. As soon as I can get healthy, both head & thumb, I'm gonna tackle the next restore. Plan on using it for that one. Good to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words.

Holy Moly friderday, hope you are doing OK! You took one he77 of a shot to the brain bucket. The boat looks fab! I love to see the fishing action.
Keep up the great work, and take care! :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words. Saginaw-lucky for me I'm hard headed!! (this is more true than I might want to admit). I'm working on my tackle box today...planning a freshwater fishing trip later this afternoon. Still trying to get that "first fish". I'll be blah, blah, blah-ing later if I am successful. On Monday, I have to head south to Miami as my daughter is having a cardiac cath to enlarge the stents she has in her heart. I took a chance & reached out to Gus just wonderin' if he was anywhere near where I was going to be. I didn't want to go all that way and find out later I blew the chance to see the Bassassin. Well, I found out he lives 7 minutes from the hospital. So, I will be contacting him and as soon as my girl is resting and out of the woods, I'm hoping for a meet up and photo op! Ok...really I'm just looking forward to meeting him. We all somehow remain "anonymous", even through pics, but it's so cool when I see that people are actually real and are able to meet. I am nervous for the purpose of the trip, but can't wait to meet the legend.

Just a quick update...I hope to be heading back home later today with my daughter. Her procedure went well. Got a bit of surprise when we got here yesterday...they had all intentions of replacing a damaged valve with a bovine jugular. This has needed to be done for about 15 years and they had gotten approval to get it done. However, the landing area for the valve was a short area with stents on one end and a surgical patch between ventricles on the other. The spot where it needed to go was not big enough. They will be looking into obtaining another valve that is a bit shorter, however not fa approved for pulmonary valve replacement, only aortic. Surgical replacement with a prosthetic valve seems more likely due to current measurements. She is resting comfortably this morning with expected tenderness at both groin entrance sites. After a few tests today, we hope to head for home later. I was able to escape the hospital last night to visit Gus, gt1000000 and see the b assassin in person Big thanks to he and his delightful admiral for their hospitality. The bassassin is an epic tank in person. Such a good end to a stressful day. Much love and thanks to you, gus, and all well wishers.

Attempting the whole photobucket thing again. Let's see what happens. This photo needs no explanation..Just a couple of old geezers who have been friends for a while, but just met. I heart iboats! So the above pics were from a couple wks ago when I caught the first few fish in the newly splashed boat. Photobucket was acting up when I first tried this. The next couple of pics are from yesterday after work. Took the boy out to show him what's up and he ended up showing me wazzup!!! That's a size 11 shoe. Peacock was 17" long, good 3lbs. Fought like a big grouper..down and dirty. Gonna be hard to beat that fish, but I will continue to try. My best of the day was almost as long but less stout.

Seriously, Sam...doesn't everybody know they are passing right by us to get to him? I will pm you soon, but it tentatively possible sorta maybe that we will be heading north in a couple of wks (13th) to visit my dad. If so, we are also planning a side trip for the day up to J-ville to see our buddies at a golf cart place that has been very helpful to us. In addition, the kid at the place also does the Christmas light show that illuminates J-ville. He has invited us to do a vip drive-thru. Plus, I would like to see YOU!! Maybe even the girls(Lisa & Kelly). So keep an eye out. Will let you know.

Been a while since I posted anything of value. Happy new year to all my iboats friends. The boat is not complete as of yet. I am still waiting on that buddy of mine, who keeps promising the bleacher seats. I'll wait a bit longer, and if no good, I'll decide on another option. The boat is, however, very fishable/usable. I have been enjoying it in freshwater, doing a little flyfishing. My ailing father, upon my visit in December, gave me his flyrod he used when I was a kid. I have used it and I still remember how to do it. I have also had the boat out in the intracoastal. A friend of a friend turned me on to a great snook fishing spot and technique and it has worked without fail every time I go. Yesterday, I was 3 for 5...two of them were slot fish, too(31ish inches). Since I can now legally keep one, I did, and she sure tasted good last night. In addition, I have been restoring an old 3 wheel trike(adult). I sanded completely down, and have used WOG paint tips. It REALLY looks good. Thanks for the private tips WOG and nurseman(aka Mr. Clampett). Still in lots of pieces, but almost time to start reassembling. I think I have some pics on the camera, but haven't loaded yet. See if I can locate. Been enjoying the boat and thought some of us, especially those in the north or those in the middle of grinding or glassing, might enjoy seeing that their labor will pay off.
