140 Mercruiser Wellcraft wiring/ fuse help

I don't have any readings on my tac or engine temp gauages. The only fuses that I can find on the boat are the ones on the insturment panel. I can't find a fuse board or anything. Does anyone know where it might be if it has one at all? Secondly, where do the wires for the temp and tac go into the engine. The tac is read by the alternator if i'm correct, but where do the temp wire go?

Temp wire goes to temp sending unit right under the thermostat housing. Brass looking plug with one wire to it. Can't miss it ( resistance only no fuse ). Remove this sending unit wire and with key turned on touch wire to sending unit body. The temp gauge should immediatly peg to highest temp. If not bad wire, if it pegs wire good-bad sending unit.

I learned this from this forum, I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Ayuh,... The Tach get's it's signal from the Coil,+ the Temp Gauge has a Sensor, usually mounted in the T-Stat Housing...
