Hi, I'm new to all this so please bear with me. I just purchased a 1979 Viking Deckboat with a 140 Mercruiser from a friend. The motor was running fine when he took it out of the water 3 years ago, but it was stored uncovered outdoors ( in Indiana ) for the last 2 years. It appears to me that water must have entered the engine through the carb. There was water in the oil pan but the oil in the filter contained clean oil. The motor will not spin. I sprayed WD-40 and Blaster into the cylinders and re-filled the crank with diesel fuel for a soaking. After a week, still can't get her to move. Should I be looking for a replacement engine or have this one removed and disassembled?
Any cheap tricks to try first?

Regards,

Ramblerfan
