read the factory service manual.

change engine oil
remove all the drain plugs exhaust manifold, engine block
remove the lower j-hose and drain
remove the raw water pump cover and pull the impeller for the winter

pull the drive, inspect the u-joints and bellows
change the drive fluid

Thank you for the reply Scott
do I leave the antifreeze alone or should I drain that too/
I know it sounds like a stupid question ,I just don't want to screw up this engine

Check the antifreeze with a coolant hydrometer which is available at most auto stores, that will tell you the amount of freeze protection.
So yes leave the antifreeze in the engine.

So winterizing in a FWC engine is different than a RWC. Since you mention antifreeze I assume it's a FWC engine. Test the antifreeze or extract a little and put in a Dixie cup in your freezer overnight.

I would suggest you review the owners manual for winterizing instructions. Most are online on the VP website. On my 2012 V8 engine I remove a blue plastic drain plugs from each risers, pull the hoses from the raw water pump and disconnect and drain a small hose that I believe goes to the fuel cooler. That's the engine.

Typically people change the engine oil, outdrive gear oil, maybe pull the outdrive and grease the U-joints.

Look at the pitot tube pickup. It is probably plugged or broken

thank you.
you were right, the pick up tube was blocked
works great now
I have one more issue
this boat has a trim gauge but doesn't work I tried looking on line
but I didn't find any info as to where the sensor or switch is located .
is it possible that this boat never came with a power trim option?

Don't drain the block if you're closed cooled. Post 2 was meant for raw water systems..
