I have just bought a 92 Johnson Fast Strike 150hp V-6 (Ser # G02653323)It sat for 3 to 4 years. It started the first time I tried it. My problem is at wide open throttle. It stumbles, and will not go above 4500RPM. I can hit the choke and she will start to pick back up. I just realize the chock is actually a fuel boost, so that tells me its starving for fuel. It has VRO2 oil injection system. What do I need to do to get the engine back to like new. I did put in new plugs. :)
Also the trim will not raise the motor under throttle to help me come up plain. Is this normal, or is it weak? I thought it should make some adjustments while running.

Thanks.
A cop that needs to FISH.

ARCop..... When an engine sits for that length of time, the result is clogged, fouled carburetors. The cure is to remove, clean, and rebuild them.

Maybe you shoul check the hose's first so there is no clooge in them or any 90 dg bend on them and also check the filter in the enging, you find it if you follow the fuel hose inside the motor (easy to take away and clean)
I had the same prob on my faststrike 175 (the less fuel alarm sound on WOT)
After the simple cleaning every thing works perfect (knock on wood)

Good luck from Sweden
Daniel

Yes the tilt should work when you run the motor, also on WOT.

Check the intake manifold gaskets and see if they are a black color. If so, they swell with today's fuels and restrict the priming system and can cause air leaks. Replace them with the new style brown gaskets when you rebuild the carbs. Also inspect each recirculation system check valve for being gummed up after sitting so long. How to do all of this is explained in a service manual. Use a torque wrench on each fastener because of the nylon reinforced plastic items.
