Oops! Youre right! Since the page is now bigger than what fits in my screen I missed the pages listed in the bottom right hand corner.

Re: 175 faststrike prop?

i didnt get to do as much running as i would have liked, when taking off the i would blow out,and i could only trim up a little before dropping a little water preasssure i was sorta afaid i raised the motor a little to much, did run it at 55mph at around 4800rpms.so i think im going to drop the motor and start all over with the testing.i've been wonder about my hull and other boats like mine,is it possible my hull would work better with the motor lower rather than higher i know this question may not make sence but even my buddies boat iisnt do as good with the motor jacked up.or maybe im just over thinking.well back to testing.

What you're seeing does make sense. In theory, the faster you go the higher the boat will ride on the pad. Each boat will have that "sweet spot" where the motor / prop combo works best. It's not unusual to find that at slower speeds you can actually raise the motor and then drop it slighty as you gain speed.

Re: 175 faststrike prop?

I lowered the motor a 1/2" and ran it,hole shot was decent ran 5400-5500 rpms at around 60,then i raised the motor an 1/8" and with full load and partner ran 5500Rpms at 60-61mph i can go up somemore but water preassure started acting a little funny,im going to go ahead and put a new waterpump kit in this week or next to be on the safe side, are this the right numbers for it 5001595?Anything else i need to do or look for while im doing the pump? still need mored:)

Ran it again last night no problem with water preassure im still planning on change the pumpout, had a real full load extra tackle still ran 58 at 5400rpm in 98* weather.that TXP is an awsome prop.

That's fantastic!

What do your water inlet holes look like? 4 holes or a "slot"? (I may have asked before, sorry!)

There just one on each side with a plastic ribbed cover over it.i was actually thinking about getting my dad to make some little modifed scoops to replace the plastic peices.

Re: 175 faststrike prop?

Finally got the pump changed out,but seems like my gauge isnt working right now.the lower unit grease was a little grayish milky.the bottom plug seal fell apart when when we took it out.did a preasure check on it and it was okay.but ran it sunday with full load and did really good still only getting 55 to 58mph with tourney load at 5200-5400 rpms.thinking about raising another 1/8"and see what happens.still wanting 65d:) My compression was #1 105lbs,#2 97lbs,#3100lbs,#4 97lbs,#5 94lbs #6 92lbs.the guy that did my compression check did a spark test and said it was good all the way around.
