Hi All

I have a 175 V6 Model J175GLERA. Changed all the gear box seals in the lower unit as I had water in my oil. After reinstalling it all my starboard side Bank is getting extremely hot. 110celcius + and going into overheat alarm. Port side maintaining around 70celcius. This is all while running on bunny ears on the trailer. I did try swop the thermostats around with no change. I also ran the unit without the starboard thermostat and I did see after a minute or so water circulating in the starboard block.

I also changed my plugs from Champion to NGK not sure if This would have changed anything?

I did manually feed water in through the thermostat opening to confirm that there is no blockage.

I read the recommendations about the deflectors mentioned earlier. Would this be a similar issue to look at in my unit? Does this mean I need to remove the head?

Thanks in advance for any direction

So I was definatly overthinking this problem. Hose pipe had a blockage in it so i wasent gettig enough watee pressure to the bunny ears.

Always start with the basics.

Yeah.... With a high hp engine using a flushette, the hose water pressure must be turned on to full blast, otherwise the water pump will draw air.
